The Russ Hotel offers clean, reasonably comfortable and very affordable rooms with a good range of basic amenities. Unrenovated rooms have furniture that seems to date from the early eighties, while more modern rooms have simple and innocuous contemporary furniture.Double beds are available only in suites and renovated Double Rooms. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms. Fridges are available in all rooms for an additional fee.

These 12.5-square-meter rooms are probably the cheapest you can find anywhere in central St. Petersburg, and at this price there are few creature comforts. Category B Singles are very basically furnished, with one single bed, a writing desk, and a chair. Furniture and decor are far from new.

The Russ is one of the few hotels in the city that offers Quad Rooms, which measure 26 sq. meters in area and are designed to sleep four in two adjoining bedrooms. Ideal for families or groups of friends traveling on a budget, Quad Rooms are renovated, but clean and spacious. Furniture includes four single beds, two writing desks, and chairs.

These large and comfortable twin rooms are pleasantly decorated with unobtrusive modern decor and simple contemporary furniture. They feature two large single beds (one-and-a-half size), writing desk and chair, and soft furnishings including a sofa which can be transformed into a third bed.

This large apartment (70 square meters) has yet to be renovated, and features what can only be described as the height of Soviet luxury. Some of the furniture is fascinating. The Suite consists of a bedroom with Queen-size double bed, a large living room with board table, armchairs and a large sofa, and a study with writing desk and chair. The Suite also has a balcony, and the walls are decorated with original artwork.

This newly renovated suite is the most luxurious at the Russ Hotel - which admittedly is not saying much. The apartment measures 76 sq. meters in area and consists of a large hall, a bedroom with one double/Queen-sized bed, a living room with large sofa, armchairs and a coffee table, and a study with a writing desk. The Apartment also features a balcony. All furniture is modern and reasonably attractive.
